HP ProBook 430 G5 Keyboard, Backlit (P/N L01071-001)

HP ProBook 430 G5 Replacement Keyboard, Backlit

Fix a broken or unresponsive keyboard on your HP ProBook 430 G5 with this genuine-fit backlit replacement (P/N L01071-001). A direct drop-in fit built to the original specification.

The ProBook 430 G5 packs a compact 13.3-inch keyboard deck, and this replacement is tooled to that exact footprint rather than adapted from a larger ProBook model. If your current keyboard has cracked or missing keycaps, a backlight that no longer lights up, or entire rows that have stopped responding, this part restores it to full working order. It is also a practical fix for laptops where dust or spilled liquid has worked its way under the keys and left them sticky or unreliable, or where years of daily typing have simply worn the switches down.

Key Features

• Backlit Keys – type comfortably in low light, evenly lit across the compact deck
• Direct Fit – matches the original ProBook 430 G5 layout precisely
• Brand New – not refurbished, not pulled from a used unit
• Includes Backlight Cable – ready to install straight out of the box
• US Layout – standard QWERTY English keyboard with correct legends
• Firm Backing Plate – resists flex on the compact 13.3-inch chassis
• Even Key Feel – consistent actuation across the full key set
• Durable Legends – laser-etched key labels that resist fading with daily use

Compatibility & Installation

Built specifically for the HP ProBook 430 G5 chassis, this keyboard uses the same connector and pinout as the original part, so it plugs directly into the existing motherboard header without adapters. Most swaps take 15-20 minutes with a small screwdriver, and because the mounting points match the factory chassis exactly, the new keyboard seats flush without needing to be trimmed or forced into place. The palm rest and trackpad assembly stay untouched throughout the swap, and no bracket modification is required.

Performance & Reliability

Every unit is bench-tested for key response and backlight uniformity before it leaves our warehouse, so there are no dead keys or dim zones out of the box. The key switches are rated for sustained daily typing, matching the durability expected from a genuine HP component rather than a short-lived generic substitute. Backlight brightness stays even across the compact deck rather than dimming toward the corners, and the keycap finish resists shine from repeated contact.

Ideal Users & Use Cases

This replacement suits students and professionals using the ProBook 430 G5 as a lightweight daily driver, repair technicians handling ProBook keyboard swaps, and small businesses standardising spare parts for ProBook 430 units still in active use. It also works well for resellers refreshing used units before putting them back on the market, where a fresh, undamaged keyboard directly improves resale value.
