Lenovo ThinkPad X260/X240/X230S/X250 Replacement Keyboard, Non-Backlit

Fix a broken or unresponsive keyboard on your Lenovo ThinkPad X260, X240, X230S, or X250 with this genuine-fit replacement (FRU 04Y0920). A direct drop-in fit built to the original specification. These compact X-series models share the same 12.5-inch chassis and keyboard well, so this single FRU covers the whole range without needing to match a specific sub-model.

Key Features

• Direct Fit – matches the original X260/X240/X230S/X250 layout
• Brand New – not refurbished
• Easy Installation – designed as a straightforward swap
• US Layout – standard QWERTY English keyboard
• Genuine FRU Match – built to Lenovo’s 04Y0920 pinout and mounting points for a factory-accurate fit
• Signature ThinkPad Feel – keeps the familiar concave keycap shape and confident travel ThinkPad typists expect

Performance & Reliability

Every unit is checked key by key for consistent actuation force and full travel before it ships, so there are no dead keys or spots that need extra pressure to register. The frame is verified for correct screw-hole alignment against genuine X260/X240/X230S/X250 chassis, since a poor fit is what usually causes budget replacements to rattle loose or wear out the ribbon connector early. Travelers and field staff who rely on these compact ThinkPads daily will notice the tighter, more consistent feel right away.

Compatibility

Fits Lenovo ThinkPad X260, X240, X230S, and X250 laptops sharing FRU 04Y0920 (non-backlit). Confirm your exact model before ordering, since some units also shipped with a backlit variant that uses a different FRU.

Safety & Quality Standards

Every keyboard is inspected for correct pinout, key travel, and frame fit before shipping, protecting your motherboard connector from damage during installation.

Easy Installation

Power off and unplug the laptop, remove the battery if it is removable, release the keyboard retaining screws or clips, disconnect the ribbon cable, and fit the new keyboard by reversing the steps. Any laptop repair technician in Kenya can also fit it for you.

Ideal Users & Use Cases

Ideal for professionals running these Lenovo ThinkPad X-series laptops who need a fast, affordable fix for missing or unresponsive keys. It also suits frequent flyers who need a light, compact machine, IT departments maintaining older X-series fleets, and owners who prefer extending the life of a proven ultraportable ThinkPad over buying new.
