Lenovo ThinkPad T490S/T495S Keyboard, Backlit (FRU 02HM244)

Lenovo ThinkPad T490S T495S Keyboard Replacement, Backlit

Fix a broken or unresponsive keyboard on your Lenovo ThinkPad T490S or T495S with this genuine-fit Lenovo ThinkPad T490S T495S Keyboard replacement (FRU 02HM244), backlit variant. A direct drop-in fit built to the original factory specification. Both models share the same chassis and keyboard well, so this single FRU covers either laptop without needing to track down a model-specific variant.

Key Features & Benefits

• Backlit Keys – type comfortably in low light
• Direct Fit – matches the original T490S/T495S keyboard well exactly
• Brand New – not refurbished
• US Layout – standard QWERTY English keyboard
• Genuine FRU Match – built to Lenovo’s 02HM244 pinout and mounting points for a factory-accurate fit
• Signature ThinkPad Feel – keeps the familiar concave keycap shape and confident travel ThinkPad typists expect
• Even Backlight Spread – each key is checked so brightness is consistent with no dim or flickering zones

Performance & Reliability

Built specifically for the Lenovo ThinkPad T490S T495S Keyboard well, this replacement is fit-tested before listing to guarantee a precise match and reliable everyday typing performance.

Every unit is checked key by key for actuation force, full travel, and backlight consistency before it ships, so there are no dead keys or dark patches once installed. The frame is verified for correct screw-hole alignment against genuine T490S/T495S chassis, since a poor fit is what usually causes budget replacements to rattle loose or wear out the ribbon connector early. Professionals who type for hours on video calls, reports, and email will notice the difference against a worn factory keyboard right away.

Compatibility

Fits Lenovo ThinkPad T490S and T495S laptops sharing FRU 02HM244 (backlit). Confirm your exact model before ordering.

Safety & Quality Standards

Every keyboard is inspected for correct pinout, key travel, and frame fit before shipping, protecting your motherboard connector from damage during installation.

Easy Installation

Power off and unplug the laptop, remove the battery, release the keyboard retaining screws or clips, disconnect the ribbon cable, and fit the new keyboard by reversing the steps. Any laptop repair technician in Kenya can also fit it for you.

Ideal Users & Use Cases

Ideal for professionals running the Lenovo ThinkPad T490S/T495S who need a fast, affordable fix for missing or unresponsive keys. It also suits corporate IT teams maintaining fleets of these Ultrabooks, remote workers who cannot afford laptop downtime, and long-time ThinkPad owners who would rather repair a trusted machine than replace it.
