Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBD Keyboard, Long Wire, Non-Backlit (P/N SN20J78609)

Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBD Keyboard Long Wire Replacement, Non-Backlit

Fix a broken or unresponsive keyboard on your Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBD (long wire variant) with this genuine-fit Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBD Keyboard Long Wire replacement (P/N SN20J78609). A direct drop-in fit built to the original factory specification. The 15-inch IdeaPad 100 uses a longer ribbon run than its 14-inch sibling, so ordering the correct cable length matters as much as the keyboard itself for a clean, working installation.

Key Features & Benefits

• Direct Fit – matches the original 100-15IBD long wire keyboard well exactly
• Brand New – not refurbished
• US Layout – standard QWERTY English keyboard
• Full Key Travel – restores normal typing feel
• Correct Cable Length – long ribbon variant measured to match the 15IBD motherboard connector position
• Even Keycap Height – reduces wobble and accidental double presses common on cheaper aftermarket boards
• Everyday Durability – keycap material built to handle daily home and school use

Performance & Reliability

Built specifically for the Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBD Keyboard Long Wire variant, this replacement is fit-tested before listing to guarantee a precise match and reliable everyday typing performance.

Every unit is checked key by key for consistent actuation force and full travel before it leaves our workshop, and the ribbon cable length is measured against genuine long-wire 100-15IBD units to confirm it reaches the connector cleanly with no strain. We also verify frame fit, since a mismatched frame is the usual reason budget replacements rattle loose over time. Students and home users who rely on the 15-inch IdeaPad daily will notice the steadier, more consistent feel compared to a worn factory keyboard.

Compatibility

Fits Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBD laptops using the long ribbon cable variant, part number SN20J78609. Confirm your exact cable length before ordering, as IdeaPad 100 keyboards come in both short and long wire versions.

Safety & Quality Standards

Every keyboard is inspected for correct pinout, key travel, and frame fit before shipping, protecting your motherboard connector from damage during installation.

Easy Installation

Power off and unplug the laptop, remove the battery, release the keyboard retaining screws or clips, disconnect the ribbon cable, and fit the new keyboard by reversing the steps. Any laptop repair technician in Kenya can also fit it for you.

Ideal Users & Use Cases

Ideal for home users and students running the Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBD who need a fast, affordable fix for missing or unresponsive keys. It also suits parents keeping a shared family laptop usable, and repair technicians who need the correct cable-length variant confirmed before fitting a replacement.
