Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBY Keyboard (Short Wire), Non-Backlit (P/N 5N20H52640)

Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBY Keyboard Short Wire Replacement, Non-Backlit

Fix a broken or unresponsive keyboard on your Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBY (short wire variant) with this genuine-fit Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBY Keyboard Short Wire replacement (P/N 5N20H52640). A direct drop-in fit built to the original factory specification. The 100-15IBY was built with more than one ribbon cable length across its production run, so confirming the short-wire variant before ordering is the key step to a clean, working install.

Performance & Reliability

Built specifically for the Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBY Keyboard Short Wire variant, this replacement is fit-tested before listing to guarantee a precise match and reliable everyday typing performance.

Every unit is checked key by key for consistent actuation force and full travel before it leaves our workshop, and the ribbon cable length is measured against genuine short-wire 100-15IBY units to confirm it reaches the connector cleanly with no strain. We also verify frame fit, since a mismatched frame is the usual reason budget replacements rattle loose over time. Students and home users who rely on the 100-15IBY daily will notice the steadier, more consistent feel compared to a worn factory keyboard.

Compatibility

Fits Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBY laptops using the short ribbon cable variant, part number 5N20H52640. Confirm your exact cable length before ordering.

Safety & Quality Standards

Every keyboard is inspected for correct pinout, key travel, and frame fit before shipping, protecting your motherboard connector from damage during installation.

Easy Installation

Power off and unplug the laptop, remove the battery, release the keyboard retaining screws or clips, disconnect the ribbon cable, and fit the new keyboard by reversing the steps. Any laptop repair technician in Kenya can also fit it for you.

Ideal Users & Use Cases

Ideal for home users and students running the Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBY who need a fast, affordable fix for missing or unresponsive keys. It also suits parents keeping a shared family laptop usable for schoolwork, and repair technicians who need the correct cable-length variant confirmed before fitting a replacement.
