Dell Latitude 7440 E7420 E7240 Keyboard Replacement, Non-Backlit

Fix a broken or unresponsive keyboard on your Dell Latitude 7440, E7420, or E7240 with this genuine-fit Dell Latitude 7440 E7420 E7240 Keyboard replacement (P/N 04G6VR). A direct drop-in fit built to the original factory specification. These E-series Latitude models were Dell’s premium ultrabook-style business laptops of their generation, and the keyboard tray was carried across the 12-inch E7240 and the 14-inch E7420/7440 chassis.

Key Features & Benefits

• Direct Fit – matches the original 7440/E7420/E7240 keyboard well exactly
• Brand New – not refurbished
• US Layout – standard QWERTY English keyboard
• Full Key Travel – restores normal typing feel
• Premium Ultrabook Fit – matches the slimmer keycap profile HP used on the E-series Latitude range
• Correctly Keyed Ribbon – the flex cable only seats one way, reducing installation errors
• Consistent Key Feel – every key is checked for uniform actuation before packing

Performance & Reliability

Built specifically for the Dell Latitude 7440 E7420 E7240 Keyboard well, this replacement is fit-tested before listing to guarantee a precise match and reliable everyday typing performance.

Because this part number covers both the 12-inch E7240 and the larger 14-inch E7420/7440 chassis, we confirm the exact screw pattern and clip points against your model before dispatch. This step avoids the common mismatch issue where a keyboard fits the frame but sits slightly proud at one edge, and it ensures consistent key spacing across every row once fitted.

Compatibility

Fits Dell Latitude 7440, E7420, and E7240 laptops sharing part number 04G6VR. Confirm your exact model before ordering.

Safety & Quality Standards

Every keyboard is inspected for correct pinout, key travel, and frame fit before shipping, protecting your motherboard connector from damage during installation.

Easy Installation

Power off and unplug the laptop, remove the battery, release the keyboard retaining screws or clips, disconnect the ribbon cable, and fit the new keyboard by reversing the steps. Any laptop repair technician in Kenya can also fit it for you.

Ideal Users & Use Cases

Ideal for professionals running Dell Latitude 7440/E7420/E7240 laptops who need a fast, affordable fix for missing or unresponsive keys. This suits executives and consultants who chose these premium E-series Latitudes for their light weight and travel-friendly build, corporate IT teams supporting a mixed 12-inch and 14-inch E-series fleet, and long-time owners keeping an aging but still capable ultrabook in service. Repair shops handling these now-discontinued but still common models will also value a verified stocked part.
